Black Violet Revue Performer Application

It’s the day you’ve been waiting for!!! Part 2: The question asked by the world hovered in time and space. The audience waited with bated breath... and then! Part 1: Once upon a time, there were a bunch of BlackQueerDisabled people gathered across the world. With nothing but an internet connection, community care, and the brilliance of their minds, they crafted art from the fragments of their beings that people thought they didn’t have space in their lives to truly understand. With great aplomb, they stayed up late, and wrote, and sang, and edited, and captioned, and interviewed, and laughed, and stressed, and worried and slept where they could. They woke up early, and thought and thought and thought until ideas were birthed and paint was flung, and words were typed, and voices and hands and joints and backs were sore from exclamations and computer keyboards and paintbrushes and pens.  BlackQueerDisabled people are talented af. We are gifted at creating art out of intangible thoughts. We are COVID Safe. We are creating outside of what is expected, because the playbook for others simply does not and cannot apply to our ways of doing things in regards to our wellbeing.  The Black Violet Revue is here with our 7th show!!!  Did you miss us?
