Story of a #DeafBlackTrans king
Mondo Millions is a DeafBlackTrans disabled Drag King who creates culturally compelling performances in sign language to music, providing DeafBlackQueer representation online and in his local community. Mondo creates virtual content and spoken word/poetry to speak on current issues. He speaks verbally and has a conversational understanding and usage of ASL, as a direct result of systemic ableism and audism. He hopes to create visibility for the BlackQueerDisabled communities and their unique experiences.
He fundraises for marginalized communities and movements, and speaks out topics to increase equity and diversity in the LGBTQ/Queer communities. He uses his platform to unpack the concepts of “Realness” and “passing” in gender, as well as advocate for virtual, and in person entertainment to be accessible.
He is a Deaf performer with the organization HandSync, the first Deaf Drag organization. He’s performed live in Sacramento, Elk Grove, Chico, Stockton, San Francisco, Alameda, Oakland, and Los Angeles, and his virtual works have been seen worldwide!
Past accomplishments include his awarded role as Mr. Gay Sacramento ’21-’22, and his work with CGNIE, a LGBTQ+ supportive nonprofit organization in Northern, CA.
Mondo Millions’ work is featured in the RIT: Dyer Arts Center “Black is Black: Black Pride AF That” permanent online exhibit. He is listed in the Black Deaf Center resources, Black Artist Foundry, and the Black Disabled Creatives listings as a performer, and is currently producing a BlackQueerDisabled Virtual Variety Show, The Black Violet Revue.
He additionally has the honor of co-hosting and operating the Drag King Name Registry, an International Project.
He has pivoted to focus on the virtual performance world indefinitely until there are more mask required and accessible performance opportunities in the ongoing COVID-19 respiratory pandemic.

I’m a firm believer that you have to save the world a little bit at a time, every day.
